My puff stitch panel doesn't match the length of my other panels?

This can happen because of the different tension used - especially because some panels are worked vertically and some are worked horizontally. I recommend working up your first row or two of the panel and then measuring this against your other panels. If it's too long - simply reduce the amount of chains in your foundation chain. If it's too short, add more chains to your foundation chain. 

The stitch count doesn't matter too much here - you just want to make sure the lengths match. When it comes time to slip stitch the panels together, if your stitch counts don't align, you will need to either slip stitch into the same stitch a couple of times in several places along the row OR you may need to skip over a stitch here and there (depending on whether you have more or less stitches in your puff stitch panel).
